Parts of Fidova are built on open data. This page states where it comes from, which licence applies and how we have processed it. That is a condition of those licences, not a courtesy.
Towns and coordinates
The list of Swedish towns you choose from when searching for courses near you comes from GeoNames (geonames.org), made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). Processing: we have filtered the set to populated places of at least 200 inhabitants, removed duplicates, normalised municipality and county names to their Swedish forms, and stored the coordinates as WGS 84. Distances are calculated in our own database — nothing about you is sent to GeoNames when you search.
Maps and directions
We embed no map. When you choose to get directions, an ordinary link opens Google Maps or Apple Maps in a new tab, exactly like a link to any other website. That means Fidova retrieves no map content and sends no information about you to those services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply only once you follow the link.
Dog breeds
The breed list you choose from when registering a dog is based on the Swedish Kennel Club (SKK) register of recognised breeds, using the Swedish breed names as written there. The list ships with the application and is updated when we import a new version.
