Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Fidova, operated by Softsyde AB (company reg. no. 559598-7354), uses cookies and similar technologies. We use them only as far as needed for the service to work and stay secure.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used, among other things, to keep you signed in, remember your choices, and keep the service secure. We also use similar technologies, such as browser storage, for the same purposes.
Why we do not ask for consent
We do not ask you to consent to cookies, and that is a deliberate position rather than an oversight. We store nothing on your device and read nothing from it beyond what the service needs to work and what you chose yourself. Storage of that kind is exempt from the consent requirement under chapter 9, section 28 of the Swedish Electronic Communications Act. If we ever start using cookies that do require consent we will ask first, and with a way to decline that is as easy as accepting.
Essential cookies
We use only essential cookies and storage — what the service needs to work, or what remembers a choice you made yourself: • Sign-in and session — to keep you securely signed in (via our provider Supabase). • Language preference — to remember whether you want to use Swedish or English. • Cookie notice — to remember that you have dismissed the cookie notice, stored in your browser. • Sidebar — to remember whether you collapsed the menu in the signed-in area. • Install prompt – to remember that you dismissed the tip about installing Fidova as an app, stored in your browser. • Publishing question – to remember that we have already asked whether you want to publish something you created, a course, a course round, a facility or a private training offering, so the question does not come back. Stored in your browser. • Sign-up in progress – while you are creating an account your email address is stored temporarily in the browser so the confirmation page knows who it is for. It disappears when you close the tab. None of them is used to track you across websites or for marketing. Sign-in and language are required for the service to function and cannot be turned off without breaking sign-in and core features. The rest only store a choice you made yourself — delete them and the setting returns to its default.
Analytics and marketing cookies
We use visitor analytics to see how the site is used — but it is cookieless. Our provider Vercel measures page views, where the visitor came from, country, device and browser, without storing cookies on your device and without tracking you across websites. We use no tracking or marketing cookies and we do not share data with advertising networks. To fix errors and keep the service stable, we use error monitoring (Sentry). It collects technical diagnostics but does not use cookies to track you across websites. If we start using analytics cookies in the future, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. However, because we use only essential cookies, the service may stop working correctly if you block them — for example, you may be signed out or unable to sign in.
